“Gift a month to a friend” programme terms

1. Promoter

Smart Dynamic Systems LTD (no. 16430324, 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA), the company behind Chercha. These terms supplement the Chercha Terms of Service.

2. Who can take part

• Referrer: a person aged 18 or over with an active Chercha subscription.
• Invitee: a person aged 18 or over who has never had a Chercha subscription or trial with their Apple ID.

3. How it works

1. In the app, “Gift a month” creates a link with a single-use code.
2. You share it yourself, using your iPhone’s share sheet, with whoever you want and whenever you want. Chercha does not access your contacts or send messages for you, and does not remind you to invite more people.
3. The suggested text is short and neutral and you can edit it, but it must keep the key conditions and say that you get a month if your friend subscribes. Example: “Here’s my Chercha link: 30 days free, then US$49.99 a year unless you cancel. If you subscribe, I get a month free.” (price adapted to the country).
4. Only invite people you know who are happy to receive it. Do not post it as advertising or send it in bulk.

4. What the invitee gets

A 30-day free trial of the annual plan, via a single-use Apple offer code. When the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the annual price for their country (for example, US$49.99, £44.99 or €49.99) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before. They get the same pre-charge reminders as any subscriber.

5. What you get

• One free month of Chercha for each invitee who becomes a paying subscriber.
• It is granted 14 days after their first payment, provided that payment has not been refunded.
• It is applied as an Apple subscription extension or an equivalent Apple offer. It has no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
• Cap: up to 3 free months per calendar year, counting this programme and the ideas box together. Apple allows at most 2 extensions per customer per year, of up to 90 days each, so several months may be applied together.
• If your subscription is not active when the reward is granted, it is applied when you come back, within the following 12 months.

6. Exclusions

The following do not count and earn no reward: inviting yourself or another of your accounts, fake or duplicate accounts, bought, bulk or unsolicited invitations, or anyone under 18. We may cancel rewards obtained this way and, in serious cases, suspend the account under the Terms of Service.

7. Changes and end of the programme

We may change or end the programme with at least 30 days’ notice in the app. Rewards already earned will be honoured.

8. Data

We keep the redeemed code and the link between referrer and invitee, never your contacts, for as long as the programme runs and 24 months afterwards to prevent fraud and handle claims. See the privacy policy.

Chercha Ideas Box Rules

1. What it is

A channel to suggest improvements to Chercha. It forms part of the Terms of Service and is for subscribers aged 18 or over.

2. How to send an idea

• You can say it (up to 1 minute) or type it. If you speak, your iPhone turns it into text on the device; the audio is deleted and never leaves your iPhone. You review the text before sending it.
• Your idea is sent privately to the Chercha team. Nobody else sees it as you wrote it.
• Do not include sensitive data (health, documents, immigration status) or other people’s data. If any appears, we remove it.

3. What we do with it

• We read and moderate it and, if it fits, rewrite it in our own words and publish it as a Chercha card. With your permission we add your alias; otherwise it is published without a name.
• Other users can only vote on published cards; there are no comments.
• We tell you its status: received, under review, planned, in progress, launched, or declined with a reason.
• We do not publish ideas that are illegal, offensive, promotional or unrelated to Chercha.

4. Licence to your idea

By sending an idea you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, modify, combine and build it into Chercha or other products, with no obligation to pay you except the reward in section 5. We do not treat ideas as confidential: others, or our own team, may already have had a similar one. You confirm the idea is yours and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

5. Recognition and reward

• Co-creator badge when we publish a card based on your idea.
• One free month for the first person who sent the idea we end up building. If several people sent the same idea, the earliest one received by our systems wins. This is an objective rule, not a contest: there is no judge and no assessment of merit.
• If you agree, your alias appears in the release notes.
• The free month counts towards the cap of 3 free months per calendar year shared with the referral programme, is applied as an Apple extension or equivalent offer, and has no cash value.

6. Data

We keep the idea text, your alias if given, and your votes for up to 24 months or until you delete the idea or your account. Legal basis: legitimate interests in improving the product; consent to publish your alias. See the privacy policy.

7. Changes

We may change these rules with at least 30 days’ notice in the app; rewards already earned will be honoured.
